The American Nuclear Society Young Professionals Congress, a combination of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear and the new ANS Young Member's Group held its annual meeting on November 10, 2007. Atomic Insights attended the meeting, listened to the speakers and talked to a number of the participants. We obtained NA-YGN's permission to post some of the audio files that we collected.

The Michigan Chapter of the American Nuclear Society holds monthly dinner meetings and normally arranges for a program or guest speaker. Rod Adams was the invited speaker for the December 2005 meeting held at Webber's Inn in Ann Arbor Michigan. Rod recorded his talk; please forgive the sound quality.

Alan Waltar - "Atoms for Peace Reactor"
ANS Winter Meeting, November 2005

Alan Waltar, one of America's most energetic nuclear scientists, gave a talk at the ANS Winter meeting in November, 2005 titled "Atoms for Peace Reactor". Alan is part of a team that is working on a novel reactor designed specifically for deployment in areas of the world that are not currently served with reliable electricity.
